Can I submit more than one film?
Yes. Submitting multiple films is allowed.
Can I submit my film in more than one category?
Yes. Submissions in multiple categories are permitted.
I am not based in the United States. Can I still submit my film?
Absolutely. The Film Critic Award is an international award that celebrates filmmakers from around the world. We highly value films from the USA as well as from all other countries.
How old can my film be?
Your film must have been completed within the past 36 months.
When is the Film Critic Award ceremony held?
The Film Critic Award is presented on a regular basis throughout the year.
Where does the Film Critic Award ceremony take place?
The Film Critic Award is a digital-only event. Winners are notified via email and awarded online.
What do I receive if I win?
Winning a Film Critic Award is a prestigious recognition in the international film industry.
Awardees receive:
A digital certificate from the Film Critic Award (FCA)
Permission to use the FCA laurel and logo to promote their project
Featured presentation of selected winning films on the official FCA website
Recognition within the international community of producers and distributors
Is there a submission fee?

Is a submission automatically considered a nomination?
No. Submission does not guarantee a nomination.
Will I receive a refund if my film is not nominated?
No. Submission fees are non-refundable.
Will I be informed if my film is not selected?
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of submissions, only nominees and winners will be contacted.
Is the Film Critic Award a cash prize?
No. The standard Film Critic Award does not include a cash prize.
However, the Grand Jury Prize, awarded irregularly as part of the FCA, includes a cash prize of $30,000 USD.
Can I submit my film directly for the Grand Jury Prize?
No. The Grand Jury Prize is awarded only for outstanding cinematic achievements and cannot be applied for directly.
Winners of Best Feature Film and Best Short Film are automatically nominated.
This prize is awarded a maximum of twice per year.
Can I use the Film Critic Award logo or laurel without being nominated or awarded?
No. The FCA logo and laurel may only be used by official nominees and winners.
